Gentle Domesticity

I can't say how much this has struck a cord with me. Making a home comfortable and happy is very important to most of us and definitely with me. I love the idea of stitching/sewing for the home. It was great to whip up a few lovely tea-towels for gifts and some for myself. Quick and easy to put together, you'll find the tutorial here at Jenny's blog. I made 6 in the first lot, using pieces from my scrap buckets. I love the teacup and pots fabric and can't even remember what I used the original piece on? The veggie print was from a swap that at the time of receiving it didn't have any idea what I would be doing with it. Soon as I saw it I loved it for the towel. Two have been given away already. Not hard to make up more. Woolworths  must be rubbing their hands together with the increased sales of tea-towels! Whipped up another 2 for a swap. No...it's not the same towel. I had to do another combination of the green as it's so...

Getting ready for a swap

I have done a little stitching in preparation for Jenny's stitching club swap. I am loving all these little designs that lend themselves to a variety of projects. There are lots of lovely designs to choose from so why not check it out. I am having a ball making up these into everyday useful items. I have all my swaps ready to post off overseas.

Thanks Cheryll for hosting again for 2015. I started FNwF early and got in some wonderful time with a friend and DD. Jenny did some knitting and we did some stitching. This is a little stitchery I finished. Now to complete the fabric borders and then I can reveal the whole project. Why not pop on over to Cheryll's blog and check out what everyone was up to!  Thanks for stitching with me.
