Vintage Caravaning

Image
I have been wanting to make a little caravan pouch for a while now and the inspiration came from seeing this lovely tea cosy made by Jennifer of Elefantz . Don't ask me how but it just did. Maybe it was the beautiful fabrics or the vintage style! Inspired by this. Made this! and who could stop at one ! Green back in  progress.... Green front and back completed.... The pattern and tutorial comes from the lovely Chris from UK City Crafter . Here is the pink pouch under construction. It is easy to put together and these are going to make very nice gifts to add to my birthday box. Thanks Chris for the lovely pattern and idea. Why not pop over and make one for yourself or a friend.

Something for the Birthday Box

Image
A while ago I brought some plain tea-towels to stitch a design on and I finally got around to completing one! I used a Bronwyn Hayes   stitchery design and added a butterfly as something a little extra. I used Cottage Garden Threads in Dog Rose to stitch the design. I am loving these vaigated threads as there is no having to think about what colours to use where!  I think I could use this thread on the pink ones as well as it also matches these nicely. It's now ready to go into the Birthday Box for someone special. P.S.   Don't forget to enter the Melly & Me Quilt Pattern give-away here !
