A Cozy Afternoon

Image
I am following along with Jacquelynne Steves ' Block of the Month Cozy Afternoon and have completed the first two blocks. As you will see below there are many choices to completing the quilt and I've decided to do the applique method for mine. For the fabric I am using Rosalie Quinlan's range Chirpy Lola for Ella Blue.  I like the idea that all the cutting is done first and I am storing all the pieces in my block folder. Can't wait for number 3 now that these two are done.

Monday Finish for Friday Start!

Image
I did stitch with everyone on Friday night just it took me until Monday to finish. A few distractions over the weekend made me a bit late with this post. I had lots of company while I stitched and watched Better Homes and Gardens! They took turns sitting beside me. It surely was a mother of a thing to put together without a pattern as I found this idea on Pinterest and really like it so nothing could persuade me from making it up in this design. I found the pattern at one craft shop in the USA only and with no instant download (how spoilt we have become) I didn't want to wait for 3 weeks before making it up! Thanks Wendy for hosting.

Mixing it Up a Little!

Image
It's been a great weekend with the lovely weather making it so nice to be out in the garden. In between the lovely rain showers I have been repotting some of my little succulents and cactus. There was also a little stitching getting done as well. Working on a new table runner featuring different stitchery designs from Jenny's Stitchery Club and Tilda fabric. Just a bit of peak for now! Will reveal it all when it's all finished!
