Bed Hangers

Image
I saw a creative idea on this blog and decided these would be just the thing to make for the grandies.  Of course there was the obligatory trip to Spotlight for more supplies as there is never the right shade or quantity of fabric required! I made mine a little smaller than the suggested size as I used the width of the fabric. It has two good sized pockets for anything a child would like to have by their bed.  Planets and anything space for eldest child. Construction stuff for the middle child. and of course some princesses for our little princess. Then of course I thought of someone else who might like one as I know she likes to read before going to bed so I quickly whipped up another in a fabric I know she'll love! Just for you Barbie! Might even do one for me ....................someday.....! Happy sewing.

What I did on Friday Night.

Thanks again to my gorgeous friend Wendy for hosting Friday Night Sew In . Stitching actually started a little earlier in the day for DD and I as we spent the day together movie watching and sewing. This is what we watched! Let me say it's very long and gave us plenty of time to stitch, so I was able to do lots more on these. These little stitchery's are for my new table runner and I'll be using more of my gorgeous Tilda fabric to complete it.  With a fresh cuppa made, I'm heading over to Wendy's blog now to see what everyone else got up to last night.

Don't You Just Love Winter!

Don't you just love Winter.................in the tropics that is! With the weather so mild here it's a pleasure to be out in the garden on a daily basis, planting, watering, weeding or just enjoying the results with a cuppa and a cookie. Working only a couple of days a week (sometimes get conned into doing 3) I have lots more time now to do the things I really enjoy. The potted flowers are just starting to bloom. and the herb and veggie garden is coming along nicely too with the zucchini plants flowering and plenty of fresh basil. What does everyone else like doing during the Winter months?
