A Return to Simplicity.

Finally I am back on track with my Elefantz " Gentle Domesticity " BOM.  Of course I had to start in the middle and then go back to the beginning with block 1.  Block 1 - Embrace Your Homemaker Heart. You might notice I don't stitch exactly the same design as Jenny's! Well sometimes I just copy the pattern and accidentally leave out some of the components and sometimes I change them by design. That's what great about these is, you are always free to chop and change at whim! Such gorgeous designs to stitch by Jenny of Elefantz . I will be making mine up into a quilt as there will be twelve of the blocks to collect.

On a quick family visit yesterday to my childhood home I passed this little gem. Of course I just had to stop and take a few photos. I used to pass this on the way to school every day and I think it looked the same way back then! I think the hand rails are newish as I don't believe it had any back in my day. Trebonne is located 10 km north west of Ingham on the road to Wallaman Falls. The building is a very historic Post Office, operating for almost 100 years. It is a quaint building that appears to be held together by two rusty nails. It is still functioning as a private post box collection point today. I never went into this place when it was still functioning as a Post Office! But oh how I wished now that I had done so when I had the chance! A while ago as I sat at my computer madly saving pins from Pinterest onto my boards,  I stopped and thought about all the great recipes,  stitching,  gardening,  and re-purposing projects...... ........that I had saved for "One Day" and I wondered just WHEN   one day would arrive!  After all with me it's about saving these ideas because I want to try my hand at it also......not just having a great collection of what other's can do! Well I have decided that One Day has arrived and I am going to start creating, changing and planting some of these ideas for myself and I started this week with a new recipe. Zucchini Bread I have never made bread/loaf using Zucchini's before and couldn't wait to try this out.  The recipe made two lovely moist nutty flavored loaves.
