Juggling!
Sometimes I just seem to have so many projects on the go....stitching, crochet, patchwork, repotting and propagation, mulching.............
That's me....to many balls on the go at once, but when you slow down a bit and take stock you soon are able to see which needs doing and which can wait.
I like to do something at night while I sit and watch TV with hubby and this is usually the crocheting. Currently I am about halfway through Attic24 new Dune rug. You can read about it here.
As the cats like to sit with me at night trying to crochet is always tricky as this one likes to chew the yarn.
Jenny's new BOM Phyllis Mays Kitchen is slowly getting done but I've renamed it Nonna's kitchen as my kitchen relates to past and present Nonna's, mothers and mothers in law !
I feel sometimes our kitchens/recipes become a melting pot of past and present and that make us into the cooks and care givers we are today!
I finished this version of Sarah's Summer Sampler BOM. I did initially want to do it just like hers but had no Liberty fabric and just decided to make one from my stash. Very satisfying to use up bits and pieces from the stash!
So the garden thrives, my sewing machine whirrs and my hands continue to make nice things for the home and family.
So all in all it's pretty good at my place. What's doing at yours?

Your crochet is coming along nicely and I do love Nonna's Kitchen! Pretty sampler and lovely to see pictures of your garden. Yes, I am always constantly juggling too! xx
ReplyDeleteI love your quilt with the doilies and lace. It is rather nice making a quilt your own by using different fabrics and changing some things. I am also crocheting the Dune blanket and particularly enjoy the warmth of it on my lap while I crochet now that the weather is so cold. I have a large quilt on the go and just finished piecing one section. Meanwhile I have an EPP hexie project on the go and another small handpieced quilt. One can never havei enough projects LOL
ReplyDeleteYour rug is so pretty... & so is the embroidery... xox
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work and your plants look good too. My naughty kitty doesn't eat my yarn - she tries to grab the ball and run with it! She can make quite a mess of things. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThese are really amazing handworks and you are indeed very creative. I love travelling and also like making crafts using yarns and fabrics when have time. I really love that Sarah's Summer Sampler BOM you have made, the way you have merged yarns and pieces of fabrics. very beautiful.
